Episode 51: Greg Kingsley and Brant Lahnert

Greg Kingsley and Brant Lahnert, co-founders of KL&A Engineers and Builders, join the show to talk about their long careers working alongside architects. From their varied backgrounds, to what drove them towards structural engineering, to starting a small firm with lofty ideas that quickly landed large projects with architects and clients like John Carney, Harry Teague, CCY, Shigeru Ban and Mickey Zeppelin these two legendary figures tell stories and dish the knowledge they have gained running their, now, 120 person firm.

In the extended bonus segment (we could have talked for four hours if we hadn’t gotten kicked out of the building), we talk about partnership dynamics, sustainability in the building industry and the future of design within Colorado.
